French luxury goods are doing well, to such an extent that the sector has just launched a major recruitment campaign. To cope with the constant increase in demand, the industry intends to recruit no less than 10,000 people in 2020.
The situation is unprecedented. For the first time, the Fashion and Luxury Sector Strategic Committee is launching a large-scale recruitment campaign. The Committee brings together professionals from the fashion and luxury sectors, but also public institutions responsible for supporting trade in France and internationally.
Currently, the sector already has more than 60,000 direct jobs in France. And it is estimated to generate around 1 million indirect jobs. But these human resources are no longer sufficient to meet demand. Fashion and luxury companies record constant growth of 5% every year. There are therefore now 10,000 positions to be filled to cover production needs.
The Committee launched a website to present the recruitment campaign. Jobs are to be filled in various sectors: textiles, jewelry, leather goods, footwear, watchmaking, etc. The Committee lists the training courses put in place, and the possible opportunities with these validated training courses.
One of them : Hotel tester
Job : The activity consists of testing hotels all over the world to finally assess its qualities, but also its flaws. You will therefore be asked to take an interest in the cleanliness, reception and the various establishment services that may be offered to you.

MASTER LANGUAGES
You will be led to discover establishments in different countries. Fluency in the English language is highly recommended in order to be able to interact with all the professionals encountered on site. The goal is to be perfectly autonomous and free from all forms of contradictions.
INDISPENSABLE QUALITIES
This work requires total immersion in the proposed establishment. For this, testers must be endowed with genuine sociability and of course, a love for travel, novelty and curiosity. Rigor is also appropriate for good writing skills, in order to provide your final assessment.
How to be chosen :
Some agencies may offer you the experience for free. This request will therefore not be remunerated, you will only have to test and enjoy your night and establish your observations using a very precise form. But, in the majority of cases, the agencies call on professionals. Let's not forget that being hotel testers is a real job! Thus, if you have any hotel training, it will increase your chances of being one of the lucky ones.
